An Analysis of Students’ Writing Ability in Recount Texts

چکیده

The research aimed to investigate the students’ ability and explore difficulties in writing recount text. This used a case study, design was presented using descriptive qualitative method. subject of study first year students MA NW Nabi’ Nubu’ Kekait which consists 25 students. Writing test interview were instrument research. result showed that mean score 69.92. It means text poor. There three (12%) got below 60 categorized as Ten (40%) 61-70 Nine (36%) 71-80 average, very good. Meanwhile, having analyzed each aspects. Vocabulary organization good average whereas content, grammar, mechanic fair poor category. Based on it can be concluded found difficult mechanic. is suggested for English teacher should give more practice improve their content grammar
